Scott is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
professional and Registered Investment Advisor with a trained eye
for details and commitment to proven processes.
He has a genuine concern for the well being of people, and a
knack for translating technical financial concepts into easy to
understand ideas that help improve the financial security for his
clients.
Scott's desire to
educate the public about financial issues has been demonstrated
through his efforts as a teacher, writer, and voice of reason to
local TV viewers. He teaches a retirement planning course at
Francis Tuttle for people making a transition to retirement, and
writes a guest column for The Edmond Sun. Scott also has made
many
appearances on KWTV Channel 9's news shows, and is often quoted by
local print media such as The Daily Oklahoman and Journal Record.
Scott is currently a member of the National Association of
Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a national organization of
FEE-ONLY financial advisors who provide comprehensive planning and
investment services. He has also served on the board of the local chapter of the Financial
Planning Association, and served in
various capacities for the Rotary Club of Northwest Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma Special Olympics, and Junior
Achievement of Oklahoma City.
Scott graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1991 with a bachelor’s
degree in economics, with an emphasis in business administration.
He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife
and their two children; they are faithful and active members of
Crossings Community Church.
